Commitment
The Constitutional Court aims for the portal to meet level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1).
What the portal provides
- A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
- Full keyboard navigation, with a visible focus indicator.
- Sufficient colour contrast between text and background.
- Alternative text for informative images.
- Pages that adapt to mobile phones and to larger text sizes.
- Reduced animation for users who have enabled that system preference.
- English versions of the institutional pages and English summaries of judgments.
Known limitations
- Some older judgments are only available as scanned PDFs, which screen readers cannot read. Where possible, the portal shows the full text in HTML.
- Some older photographs do not yet have descriptions.
- Documents produced by other bodies, such as the editions of the Constitution in national languages, are published as received.
