UNITA members challenged the candidacy of the party President elected at the 13th Ordinary Congress of 2019. The Court found that the candidate was ineligible at verification, as he still held another nationality, contrary to Article 25(3) of the Political Parties Law, and that the Standing Committee, without competence, had extended deadlines and admitted the candidacy. It declared the candidacy process null and the Congress void, leaving the 2015 leadership in place; the published text omits the operative part.
