A member of the MPLA applied for an interim measure suspending the decision of the Candidacies Subcommittee of the National Preparatory Commission for the party's Ninth Congress declaring his candidacy for party President null, alleging that the body lacked competence and he had no opportunity to remedy irregularities. The Court refused the application for lack of appreciable damage, as the candidacy process was ongoing and subject to internal complaint and appeal mechanisms, under the principle of minimal intervention.
