Two appellants requested clarification of Judgment No. 659/2020, which had dismissed their extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality concerning the length of pre-trial detention after a first-instance conviction not yet final, arguing that the lack of a legal time limit at that stage was unconstitutional. The Court refused the request, since the judgment contained no ambiguity or obscurity and it was not for the Court to adapt their situation to the new Code of Criminal Procedure.
