Members of the Frente Nacional de Libertação de Angola (FNLA) challenged the party's Fifth Ordinary Congress, held on 16–20 September 2021, which elected its President, alleging irregularities in the election of delegates at the Uíge provincial assembly through disregard of the order of precedence. The Court dismissed the application, finding no breach of the Constitution, the law or the party's statutes and internal rules, and noting that the applicants had sat on the preparatory committee and objected only over two years later.
