A UNITA member brought an action against the party seeking a declaration that resolutions suspending him for two years as a precautionary measure, without a hearing or disciplinary proceedings, and declaring his membership terminated were void, relying on the party's statutes, the law and the Constitution. The Court declared the proceedings closed as devoid of purpose because, while the action was pending, his party rights, including the right to vote and stand in internal elections, had been fully restored.
