An MPLA member brought a challenge against the party seeking annulment of the Central Committee's decisions convening the Eighth Extraordinary Congress of December 2024, and of the Congress itself, alleging insufficient notice, lack of competence over the agenda and harm to members' rights from the amendments to the Statutes. The Court dismissed the action because the Congress had been convened in October 2024, the agenda was valid and the amendments respected internal democracy.
