The President of the Constitutional Court, Justice Laurinda Cardoso, travelled to the Municipality of Cazenga to plant several trees in the grounds of the Clube Escola Desportiva Formiguinhas do Cazenga.
Accompanied by the head of the club, Ngouabi Salvador, and by the players of the under-16 basketball team, Laurinda Cardoso planted trees and shared experiences on planting and growing trees, in an initiative forming part of the celebrations of World Tree Day, which is marked every year on 21 March and which had the support of AFROPLANT.
Established by the United Nations, World Tree Day is celebrated with the aim of preserving forests and their resources, which are essential to combating climate change.
