The FNLA submitted two lists of candidates for the legislative elections of 5 September 2008, signed by rival party leaderships. The Court held that a party cannot stand with two lists and applied the criterion of the leadership duly verified and recorded, since the rival leadership had been declared unlawful by a final decision. It admitted the list signed by the leadership elected at the 2007 Extraordinary Congress and rejected the other.
