The parties FRESA/PJSD and PRCA applied for the legalisation and registration of an electoral coalition named Unidade Nacional para Intervenção na Liberdade dos Angolanos (UNILA). The Court refused the application because the coalition's name and acronym could be confused with those of UNITA, contrary to Article 19(2) of the Political Parties Law, and there was no proof of approval by the parties' competent bodies, while allowing a new application within the legal deadline.
