The party UNITA submitted its candidacy for the legislative elections of 5 September 2008. The Court had to verify the appointment of an agent, the eligibility of the candidates, participation in all constituencies and the minimum number of supporting voters. Having been notified to remedy shortcomings, the party corrected most of them. The Court admitted the candidacy and the list of candidates, excluding thirty-three candidates for missing or non-compliant required documents.
