The Democratic Party of the Union of Angola (PDUNA) submitted its candidacy for the legislative elections of 5 September 2008. After the statutory period for remedying defects had expired, the party had not corrected the deficiencies found: no candidate lists in 18 provincial constituencies and no supporting voters for the national constituency and three provincial constituencies. The Court rejected the candidacy because the party did not meet the requirements of Article 62(2) of the Electoral Law.
