The Movimento Patriótico Renovador da Salvação Nacional (M.P.R./S.N.) submitted its candidacy for the legislative elections of 5 September 2008. Notified to remedy deficiencies concerning candidates' documents and supporting voters, it corrected only some of them. The Court rejected the candidacy because 103 of the 345 proposed candidates did not meet the legal requirements and the party failed to reach the minimum number of supporters required by the Electoral Law in any constituency.
