The FPD – Frente para a Democracia submitted its candidacy for the legislative elections of 5 September 2008. Notified to remedy documentary deficiencies in the national and provincial constituencies, it essentially corrected them. The Court admitted the candidacy because the FPD had appointed an agent, fielded candidates in all constituencies and reached the minimum number of supporters, but excluded 251 of its proposed candidates for missing or non-compliant documents.
