The Attorney General applied for the dissolution of the Angolan Communist Community Party (PCCA) for failing to take part in the 2008 and 2012 elections. The party argued that the 2010 Political Parties Law could not apply retroactively to the 2008 elections. The Court dissolved the party, whose candidacies had been rejected in both elections, holding that Article 33(4)(b) of that Law was constitutional and that the retroactivity objection failed.
