The Attorney General applied for the dissolution of the Partido Democrático Radical Angolano (PDRA) because it had contested neither the 2008 nor the 2012 elections. The party argued, among other things, that it no longer received public funding. The Court declared the party dissolved, holding that failure to take part in two consecutive elections is an objective requirement, regardless of the reasons given, and ordered its registration cancelled and its winding-up.
