The Attorney General applied for the dissolution of the Partido Angolano Conservador da Identidade Africana (PACIA) because it had not taken part in the 2008 and 2012 elections. The party argued that only the 2012 elections, held after the 2010 Constitution and Political Parties Law, should count. The Court declared the party dissolved, holding that the rule on two consecutive non-participations already applied under the previous law and that events occurring under it remained relevant.
