The Attorney General applied for a judicial declaration dissolving the Partido Republicano Conservador de Angola (PRCA) because it had not taken part in the 2008 legislative elections or the 2012 general elections. The party objected, invoking equal treatment with another party that had not been dissolved. The Court declared the PRCA dissolved, holding that non-participation in two consecutive elections is an objective ground under the Political Parties Law, and rejected the equality argument.
