The Attorney General applied for a judicial declaration dissolving the party União Angolana pela Paz, Democracia e Desenvolvimento (UAPDD), which had stood in the 2012 general elections as part of the Nova Democracia União Eleitoral coalition, which obtained only 0.23% of the valid votes. The party did not respond. The Court declared the UAPDD dissolved and ordered its registration cancelled, because the minimum of 0.5% of the votes required by the Political Parties Law had not been reached.
