The Attorney General applied for a judicial declaration dissolving the Angolan Democratic Convergence Party (PCDA), arguing that it had taken part neither in the 2008 legislative elections nor in the 2012 elections. The party contested the application. The Court declared the PCDA dissolved and ordered the cancellation of its registration and its winding-up within 90 days, holding that failure to take part in two consecutive elections is an objective requirement, irrespective of the reasons given.
