The Attorney General applied for the dissolution of the Partido Social Democrata (PSD) because it had not taken part in the 2008 and 2012 elections. The party argued that it had stood in 2012 by incorporation into the MPLA's candidacy. The Court declared the party dissolved and ordered its registration cancelled because incorporation is not a form of electoral participation provided for by law, alongside standing alone or in coalition, and had never been registered.
