A member of the MPLA challenged the party's 12th Ordinary Provincial Conference in Malanje and the re-election of the Provincial First Secretary, alleging that his own candidacy for the post had been wrongly rejected, in breach of the Constitution, the party Statutes and the Political Parties Law. During the proceedings, the applicant withdrew both the claim and the proceedings and the respondent did not object. The Court declared the proceedings terminated by withdrawal and ordered the case to be closed.
