In her capacity as President of the Conference of Constitutional Jurisdictions of Africa (CJCA), Justice Laurinda Monteiro Cardoso chaired the meeting of the CJCA Executive Bureau on the afternoon of Monday, 21 November 2022.
Made up of representatives of various African constitutional jurisdictions, the CJCA Executive Bureau meets once a year and is responsible for drawing up the rules of procedure, approving the organisation's provisional budget, examining proposals to amend the statutes and preparing the final accounts for each financial year, among other tasks.
At the meeting, held on the premises of the Constitutional Court of Morocco, several documents were examined that will be submitted to the congress, which, under the statutes, is the supreme body of the CJCA.
