The President of the Constitutional Court of Angola, Justice Laurinda Monteiro Cardoso, is in the Republic of Indonesia to take part, from 4 to 8 October, in the 5th World Congress on Constitutional Justice, in her dual capacity as President of the Constitutional Court of Angola and of the Conference of Constitutional Jurisdictions of Africa (CJCA).
The 5th World Congress on Constitutional Justice, which will focus on “Constitutional Justice and Peace”, is organised by the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia in cooperation with the Venice Commission and will bring together, in the same venue, more than 100 constitutional jurisdictions from around the world.
On the Island of Bali, accompanied by Justice Gilberto Magalhães and by senior officials of the institution she heads in Angola, Laurinda Cardoso, as President of the Conference of Constitutional Jurisdictions of Africa (CJCA), is also taking part in the 1st Joint Conference between the Association of Asian Constitutional Courts and Equivalent Institutions (AACC) and the CJCA, which will, among the various topics on the table, analyse the levels of cooperation and of protection of the fundamental rights of the Asian and African Peoples.
According to the event programme, Laurinda Cardoso, the President of the Constitutional Court of Angola, will deliver an address next Wednesday, 5 October.
