The President of the Constitutional Court, Justice Laurinda Monteiro Cardoso, received the African Union Observer Mission in audience on the morning of Monday, 22 August 2022.

During the audience, the African Union Mission, which has been in our country since 19 August to observe the General Elections, learned about the role of the Constitutional Court in the Angolan electoral process and also received explanations of this Court's involvement in the candidacy phase, which took place from 6 to 25 June this year.

Headed by the Ethiopian Haillemarian Dessalegn, the African Union Observer Mission, made up of 49 observers from various countries of the cradle continent, concludes its work in Angola on 28 August.
