Justice Josefa Neto is heading an important delegation of the Constitutional Court of Angola which has been in the Federal Republic of Germany since early on the morning of Tuesday, 11 April 2023.

This is a working visit aimed, essentially, at gathering information and exchanging experience with one of the oldest and most prestigious Constitutional and Electoral Courts in the world, whose 16 Justices receive and deal with more than 7,000 cases each year.

The delegation, also comprising Justices Carlos Teixeira and Gilberto Magalhães, the Director of the Political Parties Office, Mauro Alexandre, and other officials of the Constitutional Court, is scheduled to hold working meetings with Justice Sibylle Kessal-Wulf of the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany, in addition to several working sessions with the Judicial Administration Unit of that German Superior Court. Training activities for the staff of the Constitutional Court of Angola are envisaged as a result of the strengthening of cooperation.

Founded in 1951, the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany is presided over by Professor Dr Stephan Harbarth.
