They are Amélia Augusto Varela and Emiliana Margareth Morais Nangacovie Quessongo who, following the retirement of Justices Maria Conceição Sango and Josefa dos Santos Neto respectively, formalised by Resolutions 123/24 of 17 December and 122/24 of 17 December, were sworn in to their new office this Thursday, 10 April 2025, by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, having recently been elected by the plenary of the National Assembly.
The formal swearing-in ceremony of the two Justices took place in the Great Hall of the Presidential Palace, in the presence of the President of the National Assembly and the Presidents of the Superior Courts, as well as the Attorney General of the Republic.
The Ministers of State and the Minister of Justice also attended the ceremony.
The public presentation ceremony is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Friday, 11 April 2025, at 9.30 am, at the Palace of Justice in Luanda.
