A delegation of 20 members of the Tucker family — American citizens descended from the first enslaved Angolans taken to the United States of America — visited the Gallery of Angolan Constitutionalism on Friday, 4 July 2025.

Led by the Vice Mayor of the city of Hampton, Steven L. Brown, the delegation toured the Gallery's exhibition spaces attentively, receiving detailed explanations of the various elements that make up this space dedicated to the preservation, promotion and dissemination of the constitutional history of the Republic of Angola.

As a gesture of institutional courtesy, the President of the Constitutional Court, Justice Laurinda Jacinto Prazeres, joined the visit, warmly greeting the members of the delegation.

On the occasion, Vice Mayor Steven L. Brown presented the President of the Constitutional Court with a special edition of the City of Hampton coin — minted annually and awarded to national or international figures who have rendered outstanding services to the community.
