The appellant brought an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against the Supreme Court judgment that refused his habeas corpus application, alleging excessive pre-trial detention and breach of Articles 64 and 68 of the Constitution. The Court held the request unfounded because the legal time limit for pre-trial detention had not been exceeded, the delay in the trial having resulted mainly from appeals, medical excuses and objections raised by the appellant himself.
