A citizen lodged an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against a Supreme Court order that extinguished criminal proceedings under an amnesty but made that benefit conditional on paying civil compensation within one year. He invoked the presumption of innocence, legality and the irreversibility of amnesty. The Court allowed the appeal and declared that part of the order partly null, because amnesty erases the offence and civil redress must be assessed separately.
