The appellant lodged an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against the order of the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court granting him amnesty for a criminal damage offence but requiring him to pay the victim compensation within one year, alleging lack of reasoning and breaches of equality and fair trial. The Court partly allowed the appeal: it upheld the compensation part and declared unconstitutional the part of the decision that made the amnesty conditional on payment of compensation.
