Former employees appealed against the judgment of the Labour Chamber of the Supreme Court that held their right of action time-barred and dismissed their reinstatement claim against Sonangol EP after a collective dismissal. The Court allowed the appeal and declared the judgment unconstitutional because it had applied the time bar under a provision not applicable to the case, although the action had been brought in time, breaching effective judicial protection, fair trial and legality.
