The National Bank of Angola (BNA) brought an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against a Supreme Court judgment declaring several offences, including fraud, covered by amnesty, and later applied to withdraw, arguing that the State was the true injured party and that it lacked standing. The Court held that the BNA did have standing but, in keeping with the principle of party disposition, gave effect to the withdrawal, which brings the proceedings to an end.
