The appellant, sentenced to 18 years' imprisonment, lodged an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against a Supreme Court judgment upholding his conviction, alleging arrest without a warrant, lack of evidence and breach of the rights to a fair trial, to appeal and to legal representation.
