A defendant committed for trial for attempted aggravated robbery lodged an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against the Supreme Court Criminal Chamber judgment refusing his habeas corpus application, alleging that the arrest order lacked reasons. The Court concluded that no fundamental rights had been breached, since detention was ordered by a competent judge, the pre-trial detention time limits had not expired, and habeas corpus was not the proper means to challenge the reasoning.
