A citizen sentenced to 23 years' imprisonment lodged an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against the Supreme Court judgment upholding his conviction, arguing that he had been convicted solely on statements and that, being under 21 at the time, he was entitled to a reduced sentence. The Court concluded that the judgment breached neither the principle of legality nor any other constitutional principle, as there was other evidence and the appellant was then over 21.
