A worker lodged an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against the Supreme Court Labour Chamber judgment upholding his disciplinary dismissal by Sumitomo Corporation, which reversed the first-instance decision declaring the dismissal void, invoking the principle of legality. The Court dismissed the appeal, as the Supreme Court had reassessed the facts, applied the relevant provisions of the General Labour Law and given proper reasons for finding just cause.
