A citizen whose company had invoiced a municipal administration for services never provided was sentenced to 1 year's imprisonment as an accomplice to embezzlement and appealed against the Supreme Court judgment upholding the conviction, arguing that, not being a public official, he could not be liable for embezzlement and that his arguments had not all been considered. The Court dismissed the appeal, holding that public-official status is not required of an accomplice and that all essential issues had been addressed.
