The appellant, a dismissed employee, lodged an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against a Supreme Court Labour Chamber judgment which set aside the first-instance ruling in her favour and, instead of declaring the dismissal null, held it unfounded and awarded back pay and compensation. She invoked effective judicial protection, fair trial, legality and maternity protection. The Court dismissed the appeal, finding that the judgment complied with the law and the Constitution.
