The appellant brought an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against a judgment of the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court dismissing his appeal, alleging failure to rule on his requests, lack of notice to his lawyer and breach of access to justice and a fair hearing. The Court dismissed the application but, having found that the sentence had been fully served since February 2022 and that he remained unlawfully detained, ordered his release.
