A worker lodged an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against the Supreme Court Labour Chamber judgment overturning the compensation awarded at first instance against OPCO – Sociedade Operacional Angola LNG, S.A., invoking the principle of legality, child protection and the right not to be dismissed without just cause. The Court dismissed the appeal, as the appellant had himself terminated the contract before the disciplinary proceedings ended, with no conduct by the employer justifying termination.
