The church Igreja de Nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo no Mundo «Os Tocoístas» lodged an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against the Supreme Court judgment upholding the nullity of the 2015 ministerial order unifying three Tocoist denominations, invoking freedom of religion and the right to identity. The Court dismissed the appeal, as unification without one denomination's consent was interference barred by the principle of secularism, and the similarity of names lay outside its jurisdiction and had not been decided below.
