SummaryUnofficial

A group of workers lodged an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against the judgment of the Labour Chamber of the Supreme Court which, allowing the employer's appeal, found their collective dismissal lawful and set aside the first-instance decision, alleging lack of prior notice and breaches of legality, the right to a fair trial and the right to work. The Court dismissed the appeal, finding that the appellants had litigated on an equal footing and that the judgment did not breach constitutional principles, rights or guarantees.
