The appellant, convicted at first instance and detained for more than 24 months pending appeal, brought an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against an order of the President of the Supreme Court refusing his habeas corpus application, invoking human dignity and legality. The Court declared the proceedings terminated as moot because the Supreme Court had meanwhile decided the ordinary appeal and sentenced him to imprisonment.
