The Chitembo Tchalaza Diamond Mining Cooperative lodged an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against the judgment of the Civil, Administrative, Tax and Customs Chamber of the Supreme Court upholding the decision in a dispute over a diamond mining partnership contract, alleging that procedural rules on the other party's tax status had been disregarded. The Court dismissed the appeal, finding that the appellant had fully exercised its rights of defence and to be heard, with no breach of effective judicial protection or the right to a fair trial.
