Two appellants, convicted of embezzlement and money laundering by the Full Court and Appeals Court of the Supreme Court, lodged an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality, alleging lack of quorum, breach of the presumption of innocence and adversarial principle, unlawful loss of assets, failure to rule on coercive measures and extension of embezzlement to a non-official. The Court dismissed the appeal, finding the quorum met, the assets surrendered under a court-approved agreement and no breach of criminal legality.
