A defendant in pre-trial detention appealed against a decision of the President of the Luanda Court of Appeal upholding the refusal of his habeas corpus application, alleging arrest outside flagrante delicto, late presentation to the judge of guarantees and excessive pre-trial detention. The Court dismissed the appeal, since several issues had not been raised before the lower court, the extension of detention does not depend on notifying the defendant, and the alleged breaches were not established.
