A citizen detained on suspicion of minor drug trafficking lodged an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against the order of the President of the Lubango Court of Appeal refusing his habeas corpus application, alleging breach of the 48-hour limit for being brought before a judge, of the right to liberty and of the principle of equality. As the appellant had meanwhile been released, the Court declared the proceedings closed because they had become moot.
