Two citizens lodged an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against a judgment of the Benguela Court of Appeal refusing their habeas corpus application, alleging irregularities in their detention, including a first interrogation held six days after arrest. Meanwhile, one appellant was acquitted and released and the other was convicted, so that his deprivation of liberty came to rest on the conviction. The Court declared the proceedings terminated as moot.
