Three defendants sentenced to 20 years' imprisonment for aggravated homicide lodged an extraordinary appeal on grounds of unconstitutionality against a judgment of the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court, invoking in general terms the right to a fair trial, but filed no submissions despite being notified. The Court declared the appeal abandoned and the proceedings terminated, for lack of submissions and because the notice of appeal did not contain sufficient grounds to assess the alleged breach of fundamental rights.
